LCD Soundsystem stream album

You may already know that you can hear your favourite record of the year at their website. You may not. Worth a listen.

Mount Kimbie + FaultyDL song to download, for free.

If I were the editor of the Sun (I'm not) I'd make Mount Kimbie lead story because

a) They are one of the most genuinely thrilling bands in the UK, adding post-rock, and provincial yearning and (whisper it) melodies the Housemartins would be proud of to the dubstep template.

b) It would give me a chance to use the headline "Peak Time!"

Malcolm Mclaren on hip hop in 1984.

'Beat This! A Hip Hop History' tells the story of early hip hop, something that Malcolm Mclaren makes sound ineffably exciting, as he seemed to make everything – even boredom – sound. It's a greyer world without him, and our thoughts are with his family.

Ariel Pink announce album

'Before Today' will be released by 4AD on the 8th June. It was recorded at Tito Jackson's old house, the House Of Blues, with Sunny Levine (Quincy Jones' grandson) and Rik Pekkonen (Bill Withers, Seals & Crofts, Bread). Artwork above, designed by Douglas Lee.

Preorder it immediately and buy tickets for their Cargo show. Download Round and Round here while you do that, yes?
