Welcome to the all new Dummymag blog. There will be new posts on the blog most days from the writers on the mag concerning anything vaguely music or pop culture related. We've still got the Dummymag.com site in operation and that's still the place to get a glimpse of the new (or old) issue, take out a subscription or buy a back issue, get a list of stockists, download a media pack - you get the idea. This blog is designed to complement that site and to complement the mag of course - being a quarterly (for the time being at least) the blog is a way for our writers to keep in touch with our readers in between issues. We've also got a myspace site - myspace.com/dummymag - and anyone added as a friend on there will be kept updated of when new issues are out, Dummy parties - that kind of thing...and of course the more friends we have the more popular we look so please add us (to your top 8 if poss!). It's also worth mentioning that we've got a Paypal account now so that if you want to subscribe or buy back issues you don't have to dig around for your chequebook - just go to Dummymag.com/buy and enter your credit card details(!)
On the distribution side of things we are now available in the UK in Borders nationally, independent record shops nationally, and selected independent newsagents plus we export to New Zealand, Australia, Cyprus, Belgium, Sweden, Japan, Austria, Canada, Taiwan and USA. If you ever have trouble finding the mag though, wherever you are, please ask your newsagent or record shop to order it and if you still don't have any joy then email kelly@dummymag.com and she will try and point you in the right direction. The best way to make sure you get a copy of every issue though is to subscribe on the website of course.
Hope you like the new mag - it's better than the last one but not as good as the next - and has features on Carl Barat and the Dirty Pretty Things, Klaxons (their first cover), The Futureheads, The Raconteurs, The Rapture, loads of new bands like Xerox Teens and The Fratellis and Q&As with the likes of Aphex Twin, Peaches and Nick Zinner from Yeah Yeah Yeahs - plus much much more of course. Check Dummymag.com/issue for a full breakdown. It's in the shops next week...
