The ICA are throwing a festival of experimental music and sound art in November. Named after Arthur Russell's 'Calling Out Of Context', the festival happily (in the spirit of Arthur) sees "experimental" as "interesting, beautiful and forward thinking", rather than "joyless, obtuse and pompous". All the artists involved in the 9-day festival are on the flyer below, but we're particularly excited about sets from the wonderful Lucky Dragons on the 14th, Polar Bear's Seb Rochford playing with Pamelia Kurstin on the 17th and Mira Calix on the 20th. There's also a recording studio set up in the gallery, with Alexis Taylor's new project About, blogger-turned-producer Woebot, Alexander Tucker and Mica Levi will all be recording works. Click onto the ICA website for more on all 40 events.
